We have over 40 years of combined experience carrying out surveys for individual clients on a one off basis, to working with large-scale housing associations and some of the worlds biggest corporate organisations.

ARL can undertake all types of asbestos surveys and material/priority risk assessments.
Your asbestos survey will be conducted by one of our highly experienced survey teams. All of our surveyors hold at least the BOHS P402 Certificate and are fully trained and audited several times a year.

We understand that time is often the most valuable resource of all, and so we strive to get to site and provide our comprehensive report as fast as we are possible able to. We are able to work with you on timescales and endeavour to meet all of your needs.

The key to your effective asbestos management system is the initial asbestos survey.

An asbestos survey is designed to identify for you the location, type condition and extent of any Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM).

All surveys are to be conducted in accordance with HSG 264 “Asbestos: The survey Guide”.

There are four types of survey:

  • Asbestos Management Survey – Standard sampling, identification and assessment survey. Ideal for identifying asbestos to produce a management plan
  • Asbestos Refurbishment Survey – Targeted fully intrusive survey for refurbishment  projects of all sizes from a single wall to a total conversion
  • Asbestos Demolition Survey – Destructive and fully intrusive. Designed to be carried out prior to demolition of buildings
  • Asbestos Re-Inspection Survey – Previously identified materials are re-inspected to check on condition and correctness of risk assessment

We are also able to sample specific materials at your request (referred to as a “sampling exercise”). This is handy if you are concerned that a specific item could contain asbestos and would like it sampled for peace of mind.
